Design and delivery of Dignity at Work Training
The University Of Leeds is one of the world’s top 100 universities and part of the Russell Group of leading UK universities. It provides over 68 undergraduate courses.
Dignity at work issues were highlighted as a key area of concern for the University of Leeds for both the academic and support staff.
The university was keen to mitigate the effects and raise awareness of the complications of such behaviours on the universities mission to be an inclusive environment.
• Design and delivery of dignity at work training courses for academic and support staff rolled out to over 300 employees and staff. Identification of a group of first contact of advisors whose role it was to provide support and guidance and resolve complaints informally.
• Training of first contact officers with periodic refreshers
Development of a more inclusive culture and reduction in the number of complaints and the development of in-house capability and capacity to promote dignity at work.
