Design and develop two day modules on Developing an International Mind Set & Being an Inclusive Leader
Warwick University is a public research university situated in Coventry and has over 23,400 students with 1390 academic and research staff. It is organised into four faculties: Arts, Medicine, Science and Social Sciences within which there are 32 departments. Entrance is highly competitive, with around 8.25 applicants per place for undergraduate study.
Warwick University were keen to ensure that their international MBA Graduates were equipped to both manage diversity and also have developed the skills of cross cultural competence. This requirement came directly from companies who were both sponsoring MBA graduates to complete their studies but also companies who were keen to recruit from this group of students. The University were keen to position them with a unique differentiator for their MBA programme. They identified that these skills and competence were essential for 21st century leaders.
• GDP were commissioned to design and develop 2 day modules on developing an international mind set and being an inclusive leader.
• This programme was rolled out over 5 years.
• GDP bought together leading thought and practice leaders on the subject matter as well as securing sponsorship from some of the world’s leading companies who contributed their perspectives on the business case for diversity as well as various examples of effective practice in relation to talent, markets, customers.
• This programme has been consistently well evaluated scoring high marks in evaluation and leading to enhanced opportunities for graduates of the MBA programme.
• Warwick University was able to achieve their objective of being the first UK university to offer inclusive leadership and cross cultural competence as part of their leadership development provision.
