Dr Pete Jones - Principal Consultant
Dr Pete Jones is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist and Psychometrician. He is widely regarded as the UK’s leading practitioner in models and concepts of unconscious bias and stereotype threats at work. He has presented in numerous conference papers and workshops, both nationally and internationally on measuring and reducing unconscious bias in the workplace. Pete is the author of Implicitly®, believed to be the first commercial online test of unconscious bias available to reliably measure an individual’s risk of exhibiting biased behaviours at work.
Pete has particular expertise in staff selection and assessment, both from a technical and design perspective and also around diversity and inclusion.
He has delivered Unconscious Bias workshops nationally and internationally to a diverse portfolio of clients.
He has also presented numerous equality, unconscious bias and Implicit Association Test (IAT) papers nationally and internationally, including presenting at the world Equality and Inclusion Conference, The international Congress on Workplace Bullying and Harassment and the European work and Organisational Psychology conference. He has designed and run over 100 different IAT tests in the English, Chinese, Russian and Austrian languages across a diverse spectrum of individuals’ differences.
Ray Bower - Principal Consultant
Ray has over 25 years experience of working with equality, diversity and inclusion, encompassing a background in Higher Education as a Sociologist, lecturer and researcher. After leaving Higher Education Ray worked with a disability organization helping disabled adults move to independent living and providing training and development interventions. In 2000 Ray became a self-employed Learning and Development Consultant, with a strong focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and specialism in Disability issues. Ray holds a BA (Hons) in Social Science, Masters Degree in Education and the NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work.
Ray’s work as a consultant has been varied and wide-ranging, encompassing research design and implementation, training needs and gap analyses, strategic support, equality assessment, and best practice development. He has a particular interest in and specific experience of the ‘drivers’ for equality and diversity, helping individuals and organizations to see the benefits of becoming more diverse and inclusive through recognizing the moral / ethical, legal, social and business ‘cases’.
Ray has also developed a keen interest and knowledge of Psycho-social Risk Factors in the Workplace, how to identify and manage these issues and work towards reducing such risk. In this regard he has been developing strategies for combining elements of Equality and Diversity with staff and management development and health and safety, to provide a holistic approach to improving health and well-being in working environments.
Ray has the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and to develop a sense of value in the training he delivers. He has experience of working with the public, private and third sectors, small medium and large, complex organizations throughout the UK, the EU and in Africa.
Theresa Stearn - Principal Consultant
Theresa has over twenty years in the field of equality and diversity. She is a highly motivated facilitator, coach, and leader with proven delivery within complex environments. She has a wealth of experience gained from roles in organisational development and training; staff and organisational effectiveness; talent development; global education, equality and diversity; public sector regulation; performance analysis, evaluation, assessment, and improvement; and service development.
Theresa has consultancy expertise within and outside the UK which has enabled her to build an extensive portfolio of work in voluntary, public and private sector organisations, and to develop the skills necessary to work effectively across different cultures.
Shelagh is an established equality and diversity practitioner with over 20 years experience in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Prior to becoming a consultant Shelagh held senior equality and diversity posts in the Civil Service, the BBC and the transport industry. She has worked extensively on strategic and practical actions to embed equality and diversity into business development, employment practice and service delivery. Throughout her career Shelagh has held chair and director positions.
Shelagh is a Chartered member of CIPD and an approved NCVO consultant.
Employment lawyer with over 25 years experience acting for Employers and Employees. Formerly Head of Litigation at the Commission for Racial Equality and Partner at DLA Piper. Makbool has been involved in several landmark cases and advises on a broad range of employment law issues with expertise in discrimination law.
Makbool acts on behalf of a number of significant public and private sector bodies, conduct training, and regularly contributes to legal and personnel journals.

Camilla has considerable D & I experience, including delivery of gender and race equality programmes for the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) London 2012. She is proactive and innovative, with an extensive track record of ensuring detailed and complex projects succeed in challenging environments. She has experience of managing significant stakeholder relationships in both public and private sector.
Peter Bailey is a consultant, project manager and visiting lecturer working in diversity management, personal and leadership development. He has both personal and wide ranging experience of disability and equality. Peter is recognised for his strong leadership, intellectual rigour and applying effective practice to assignments. He has strong experience in working with organisations of disabled people and keen to articulate the case for social innovation as levers for inclusion.
Ben Capell is an organizational consultant and an academic researcher, based in Barcelona, Spain. He partners closely with executives, senior HR managers and professionals to enable them to grow their organization and careers in today’s fast paced and complex business environment. Museji has considerable Diversity and Inclusion expertise having held the post of Chief Equality and Diversity Advisor within the cabinet office. Following a career spanning mainly local and central government and management consulting, Museji has a varied portfolio of executive and non-executive roles. Museji’s experience includes senior executive with a UK and Bangalore based IT company for the mobile communications industries. He also manages a portfolio of land/property investments in the UK, and holds one public appointment (Chair) of a consumer panel in financial (pension) services.

Tinu Cornish - Principal Consultant
Tinu Cornish CPsychol, MSc, PG Dip, BSc (Hons) is a Chartered and Registered Occupational Psychologist with extensive experience consulting on diversity & inclusion and leadership. She is the founder and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion at Work Group, sponsored by the Division of Occupational Psychology of the British Psychological Society. Tinu consults, and trains on unconscious bias and has recently carried out a Rapid Evidence Assessment on methods for reducing and mitigating the impact of unconscious bias. Recent research for the Employer’s Network for Equality and Inclusion was a project that investigated the impact of unconscious bias on the manager/staff relationship.
Her experience encompasses developing minority leaders, including being the first Training Manager for a national Minority Ethnic Positive Action Leadership Development Organisation. Tinu designs and facilitates career and leadership development seminars for minority ethnic and women’s professional networks based on cutting edge research.
